Active Traffic

There are only two things that scare me when flying. Ice and a collision. I know how to avoid ice. But hitting another aircraft is number one. I am looking for a reasonably priced solution. ADSB is not a solution in Canada and may never be. So the only thing close enough is something that detects other transponders. I will need a adsb solution soon though.

The L-3 Lynx 9000 ngt product seems good but it appears they are having financial difficulty. May not be around. Garmin has some extremely pricy solutions. But I have not drank their koolaid yet. So does anyone have any good solutions to recommend.
