Add new topics to the correct forum

Aside from adding your new topic (thread) to Pilots > Around the Campfire for topics that seem uncategorizable, please take the time to navigate to the appropriate forum before clicking the New Topic button.

One of my objectives with BCP is to have a quality information resource, and that means making the information easier to find. Categorized subforums make this possible, so that a reader can review all topics of a certain subject -- Airstrips for example. Searching is sometimes just cumbersome or difficult, and browsing one of the topical forums might have all the information you need. Of course, to view the latest from all forums, just click the View Latest Topics link at the top of every page.

Some examples:

"Maule M7 vs Cessna 180" should be in Aircraft > Types.

"Big tires on Cessna 182" should be in Aircraft > Modifications --or-- Aircraft > Types.

"Check out my GoPro footage of this gravel bar Landing" should be in Pilots > Videos and Multimedia

"Off-airport-friendly insurance" should be in Aircraft > Ownership.

"Ethanol-free pump gas locations" should be in Aircraft > Fuel.

Important: Please name new topics as specifically and appropriately as possible. We end up seeing many rerun posts because the first few times a popular video or link was posted, the subject title was too vague. No harm done, it's just extra database storage, but real tragedy is when a multi-page discussion ensued, and later it becomes buried because the title had nothing to do with the content. It's better to be very specific to help the future searchers.

Thanks!

No blame, this is a never ending issue. Future archaeologists will thank me for cracking this whip, I'm sure. :P
