Adventure Seaplane is a first rate operation! Added my SES and Brian was my instructor. Real training, real world and a lot of fun.

Brian, is Waldo still around? He was a great examiner.

How have you been, Thanks for the compliment, we try our best! Waldo is still around Falcon field flying a bunch and here in FL this week, i should see him soon. He is being inducted into the Minnesota aviation hall of fame this spring. He is like the eveready bunny and keeps on going in his mid seventies, he is just a kid yet! I don't know if i'll get to AZ this season as i normally do, maybee in march on a jeep trip. Come on over to FL and fly this winter.

Take care
Brian

Adventure Seaplanes have my endorsement also. Brian risked his life riding with me two years in a row. Nice people and I understand a new base of operations this winter at Cherry Pocket (great food there). Brian, I think your Arctic summer trip is worthy of telling people about. I would be interested in flying along with you some time to fish and see the Polar bears. Maybe some of the others would too. How about posting a little bit about it in the trip report section here on Backcountry? Steve

Thanks! How are you liking those new aerocets? Lots more payload and speed than your cub EH! I will be heading another arctic tour in august and may put something on the BCP site later on. Got a nice 180 and 172 seaplane for you to fly on your winter vacation getaway! The Cherry Pocket is alot of fun on Lake Pierce!

The Pocket is fine and friendly! You can park on either side of the channel or on the west side of the dock. The 180 is either on the ramp to the west or at the dock. You never know where i'll be, 122.75 or 612-868-4243 via cell.

Thats a great offer--I plan on taking you up on it when you get back to the North country. Should I call now to schedule time in the 180 or 185 in June-july time frame, or just set it up right beforehand? I cant wait to give it a whirl!!

Another question--If my Dad and I both do the training, can we ride along with each other to watch and learn, or does that cause problems for the instructor?

This a great site and group of flyers! I want to get more of you into seaplanes as it takes you into some awesome back country places where no one else can go. Both of you can train together and have a great vacation at the same time, we have had many training trips with 2 at a time. Get me some dates and i will put it together for you.

I'll give a big thumbs up for Brian also. While I didn't get a rating from him I have flown with him once while looking at a plane for sale. He is one of those guys you just seem to like the moment you meet him. I had never flown a tailwheel aircraft and he put me at ease immediately and I feel he would be a great instructor. Did I mention he's a nice guy to talk to also.:)

Brian,

Where is Lake Pierce in Florida? I have a house in Daytona and was wondering how far away you are. A SES rating sounds like fun!

Thanks for the kind words! Lake Pierce is north of Lake Wales and south of Haines City and east of highway 27. Look at www.cherrypocket.com it has map quest and the address. The Pocket is a very friendly & fun place with great food and a boat bar, the owner Rick is also a pilot. Come on out and check us out!
