Thanks: I enjoyed the article. I was almost finished reading it when a 33 year old memory came back. Naknek - Dillingham - etc.

My last partner in an airplane had a set net permit on the Naknek. He was tired of paying the 206 pilots to bring supplies from Dillingham.

So, he bought a J-5 with only 50hrs. on the engine. His check ride in the J-5 was his first 4 hrs. with his private ticket. Heard him say he was headed to Alaska in a few days.  I asked him if anyone was going along, he said his brother was an airline Captain and may be willing to go. Both female instructors in the office told him to talk to me as I had made the trip. The rest is a lot of old melodramatic memories. Keep thinking of writing the story. Only have old 35mm film photos.

Thanks much again

It is better to be late in this world, than early in the next.
