Airbus nacelle "cooling" ducts

Hey, ah, Zane, what's the story with the Airbus and the tricky articulating nacelle. It's one of your gallery photos. Is this some sort of new cooling duct? Are you allowed to disclose what airline it was?

Jeff,

Which photo are you referring to? If you ever want to reference a photo in a forum topic, follow the directions below. While I am the site administrator, I may not have been the one who uploaded the photo. This site is free for any and all who want to post topics, tell stories, and upload photos.

I was on a Northwest flight last month, and flew on a Avro RJ-85(is that right?) It was a high wing(with anhedral) 4 engine turbofan with those articulating nacelles you are talking about. I think they are part of the flap assembly, but at first i thought they were extra fuel tank.

This one. Sorry I thought it was yours. Does anybody know the story behind this photo. Truth is only partly important.

The truth is I am concerned that I might work for the airline this happened on. Is that Nacelle blue or teal?
