Aircraft Disinfecting Notice From Textron

Well everybody is getting on the bandwagon, even Textron. So if you didn’t know how to disinfect your aircraft for Coronavirus, here is the official word:

Aircraft Interior Disinfection - Response to Coronavirus (COVID-19) Inquiries

As the Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak continues to evolve, we want to assure you that Textron Aviation has been closely monitoring the global situation. We have cross-functional teams meeting daily to evaluate any impact to our customers and their aircraft.

Based on what we know at this time, the following demonstrated products may be used to disinfect an aircraft interior:

Zip-Chem Calla® 1452
Netbiokem DSAM
In testing performed by Textron Aviation's materials engineering team, these products did not adversely affect samples of non-porous furniture surfaces, interior leather, or windows. Aircraft interiors furnished with custom-based materials may need further evaluation by spot-testing on an inconspicuous area.
