Aircraft spotted at JC

Looks like JC has one of its first visitors of the season. Man, I wish I was up there. Although I imagine that it will be pretty chilly tonight!

Myself and a buddy with another 185 are going to JC next week for a week of backcountry flying. Any PIREP's from anyone concerning the status of the strips?

looks like the cam at JC is out this morning. Probably couldn't stand the warm weather after all the snow and cold all winter. Hope it isn't out all summer again.....

I just tried to bring it up and a message popped up that said the camera has been removed.

For good??? I hope not. These cams are a great asset to have to check out what is going on up there. Isn't the JC cam one of the state of Idaho's sponsored webcams? I know the telephone company up there also had some sort of sponsorship in it. If it has been removed, I suggest we find out by whom and flood their email with requests to get it back up and running. I could be wrong, but I thought I read in the Rudder Flutter that this was one of the state's webcams. Anyone have the details on this?

Maybe. It belongs to the flying club I'm in. I didn't see anyone scheduled to take it there, but someone could have been up that way. Also, it is a CAP plane that we bought a couple of years ago and still has the CAP paint job on it. There are several around the Idaho/Utah area with the same paint scheme. One thing for sure, I wish I had been up that way.

Yeah...my contact quoted bad info. The cam IS back. Look for the R/W/B 185 later in the week. I'll try to wave.
