Aircraft Window Tinting

I met a guy offering temporary tint panels at Oshkosh 2018. I liked his product so much I went back to see him this year. He just release a new product that is a polycarbonate safe semi-permanent window film. We put it in the back half of my airplane a week and a half ago and I love it. I know people have asked in the past so I thought I'd share on here. The whole install took about an hour for the 7 back windows and really was just cut out the shape and use some soap and water to attach it in place. It has made a huge different in both the looks and inside temps. The film can be applied to curved or flat surfaces, overhead skylights, etc and was easy even on my curved back windows.

You can find his products on http://www.justplanetint.com. Here are some pictures of the results and a video of the install. Pretty cool stuff.

This is one of his stick on panels before we did the install, my kids love them.

I am currently trying to help him grow and while not getting paid, I am supporting his website and answering emails, full disclosure. I think it is a really cool set of products and fills a real need.

How has this tinting worked out for you? Am interested in doing my roof panels in an experimental PA18 with L21 panels fashioned of polycarbonate/Lexan.

Cool! We're in the desert and the sun shines like I've never seen it before. We got some of the UV blocking tint on our cars and it has been a game changer. I think I could get a sunburn just on the drive to work before the tint.

I'm doing a skylight on my Maule, was hoping to have the same tint shop do the skylight. I didn't know that normal tint can't go on polycarbonate until they told me. I'll be looking into a strip of this for my new skylight. I can't believe the difference the UV blocking stuff made in my car.
