Hello, I'm trying to see if I can get the community's help. I'm looking for documentation/help regarding the Ralph Bolen tailwheel conversion STC SA383GL for a Cessna 175.

My aircraft:

* Cessna 175
* Conversion installed in 1991

We are trying to properly document/install replacement landing gear legs and are missing the original installation instructions/drawings for SA383GL.

I’m looking for:

* STC installation instructions
* Drawings
* Parts lists
* Gear leg specs/dimensions
* Old Form 337s
* Weight & balance docs
* Photos of installations
* Contact info for shops/mechanics who worked on these conversions

I’ve already learned there were apparently multiple versions of the Bolen gear over the years, so even partial paperwork or photos could help.

If anyone has:

* a Bolen-converted 175
* old photocopies,
* scanned binders,
* or remembers who used to install these,

I’d greatly appreciate hearing from you.

Happy to pay for copies/scanning/shipping if needed.

I have a 1958 175 with the Bolen T/W Conversion. I'll check my logs to see what all I have, but I can tell you that I don't have drawings. I have the tall, fairly straight gear that looks like Cessna 180 gear, but has very different upper ends. There's a converted 172 here in Bozeman with very different gear legs, that are shorter and appear spread more.

I too am looking for new Bolen gear legs for my 1958 C-175. It went through the TW conversion back in Aug 1992. I would like to put on the 180-style gear legs since I need new gear.

I am happy to share what I have since you are missing a few things. One thing I need specifically for my situation is the referenced "Drawing 10778". I have the Drawing series 83079 (Sheet 1 thru 7), Installation Instructions, and parts list.

If anyone can assist or provide a solution, thanks ahead of time. I did get in touch Derek with The Landing Gear Works in Washington, waiting on a reply/solution.

I have digital copies of the STC for the Bolen landing gear, installation drawings, and parts list. Get me an email address and I'll send them to you. I finally found all the documents and had them digitized.
