Airforce One over New York Photo Op

Washington bashes Detroit for what they saw as blatant misuse of stockholder and eventually taxpayer money by flying GA aircraft to a meeting at the capital. Eventually that spills over to bashing all GA. Then the same Washington idiots decide to take Airforce One around the patch with a few F16s because the pictures in somebody's office are fading and they need some more? That has to be the most photographed aircraft in the world. Times are good! What's a couple of hundred thousand dollars in the big picture anyway. Criminal.

Re: Airforce One over New York Photo Op

I heard they scared the shit out of a bunch of people in New York who thought it
may have been another terrorist attack.
No excuse for that crap.

When I was reading about this last night, I didn't even think about the above statement. Now that I think about it, the more I'm ticked at the bad dicision by the officials involved.

But yes, from a distance it would apear that a couple of fighter jets are chasing down an airliner 747 that who know's what it was up to at first. I know I'd be a little freaked out at first.
