Hi, does anyone have any information on the airstrip in the Indian Creek Utah area (see picture map)? It is near highway 211 and road 107, not too far away from Needles Outpost, which I hear is closed (the runway). I will be flying in to join friends climbing in the Indian Creek area and am researching close landing sites. Thank You, Jeff.

Update: I was unable to locate this strip from the ground. I was in the area May 4th and the creek was too high for our car to cross. I spoke with people at the Monticello BLM office who indicated that it had not been used as an airstrip as long as anyone could remember.

That airstrip is in the Utah Back County Pilots database as Dry Fork Canyon Airstrip and is listed as unusable. When it was evaluated more than a decade ago, it was determined to be overgrown, eroded, and difficult to repair. It is probably even more eroded and overgrown now.
Dry Fork Canyon
Latitude: 38°05.60 N
Longitude: 109°36.96 W
Elevation: 5,121 Ft MSL
Comments: Eroded and overgrown, Not easily fixed.
