AK Bushwheels Old or new??
Have you modified your aircraft? STC? STOL Kit? Major rebuild from just a data plate?
Looking to put a set of 29''s on my 180, I've found a couple of nice sets used but my question is:
Are there any different versions of the tires? Both sets I'm looking at are lightly used but purchased back in 2001....
Thanks

Things to look for....
1) TSO.... Make sure it is there
2) Part # 29136.I,II or R Must have to be STC'd
3) Load rating Make sure it is good for your A/C
Get the serial # off the tires and call me I can give you the info and applicability of the tires, there have been 2 or 3 sets of the non tso'd / STC'd tires floating about in the last few months again and people are paying top dollar for a tire they can't use.

Brandon, the old bush wheels that where made in the early and late 90s are the ones to look out for. Do to the use of the rubber they used to make them. The 29s will work out fine on the 180. You might need a spacer on them to keep from having them rub on the inside. I have seen a lot of 180s with the 29s and the 26 inch .. Good combo.
What brakes are you running with them?

Thanks Ken,
Clevelands, after checking the serial numbers of the ones I was looking at turns out they aren't approved on the 180, I'll most likely be buying a new set.
