I'll be there as a vendor, Ken and Kevin please feel free to stop by my booth and say hello. I'd be glad to meet you both.
The "must do" for gringo touristas as far as I am concerned is the "$100 hamburger" lunch run up to Talkeetna for Reindeer Chili at the Talkeetna Roadhouse (Thank you Jim Brewer, Steve Long, Don DeVoe!!!).
But you will have to hook up with one of the locals to fly you up there. There are quite a few AK locals who participate on this site.
There's also a gorgeous little airport at a place called Hope, AK, and after a 15 minute hike through the forest you arrive at this movie-worthy 1890's seaside mining town. The restaurant might not be open yet, it was not open when I went in 2010, however this year's Airmen's show is a little later in the year. But again, hook up with some AK locals on this forum, they will have far far more local info than I do.
