As I was watching this video I was trying to figure out the "story". I thought it must be a bunch of IAF pilots that came to Alaska and some how talked their way into borrowing 4 Super Cub's. The landings on the gravel bar were a bit painful to watch but boy oh boy, their formation work was excellent. At the end of the movie there were references to the IAF and so my suspicions may me partially of not completely correct.
Gotta hand it to these guy's, although not the most polished Super Cub bush pilots, they sure do better at flying Super Cubs in the bush than most could do flying in the environment of the IAF. Way to go guy's, looks like you all had a great time.
Now…. Does anyone know the story behind this video?
Great video, Though I did not see much of Icy Bay, Lots of Hubbard Glacier And the foot of the Malaspina glacier. Couldn't tell if they were camped on Kageet point or not. Made me a bit home sick!!
