it looks like the SQ2 has flaperons. Is that right? Looks like a hoot to fly. :D

nope, has flaps and ailerons both. They are just humongous. From the video, it looks dangerous as hell to fly rather than a hoot...IMHO

SQ2......

Had a chance to see first hand what Waynes bird would do today

landed on river when I saw him and few others playing.........

Can only say it is truly amazing both workmanship and performance. He has a real shot at Valdez!

First class fellow as well....guess I going to valdez.

It does look like the ailerons droop with flaps doesn't it. I assume that's what you meant?

Excuse my ignorance but what is a flaperon then. I thought it was when the ailerons drooped down with the flaps.

A flaperon is one flight control surface that acts as both a flap and an aileron. Delta wing aircraft have elevons for instance. I think a V tail Bonanza has ruddervators :lol: , you get the idea.
