Amarillo, Palo Duro Canyon any BC airstrips ?

Going up to Amarillo this week. Wondering if there were any airstrips in the canyon or around Amarillo.

I'll be there too, for the Bell 525 rollout. Curious what there is for BC'ers.

I had a Phillips pipeline through there and landed on the section roads about anywhere to talk to ground guys. I simply landed near where they were.

I live here and would be glad to go fly some of my favorite places or take anyone flying. Send me a pm with contact info and we will talk.

I need to set aside a weekend and come over to see you BTV. I flew down the PDC years ago in my PA12 but was kind of wondering if I was going to get turned in and scatted out of there pretty quick and headed on home. I see by your DeLorme breadcrumbs that you go out there often (as I would if it were in my backyard)
As soon as the weather cools off a bit this fall I'll try and make it over to visit with the S7

Good talking to you yesterday too! Good luck on the hunt for the ultimate skywagon!

Me too! As soon as I get my 180 flying again I'd love to come up and do some flying in the Palo Duro!

Anyone is welcome anytime. I can try to arrange hangar space at 2TX0 if needed.

Looking forward to taking Karmutzen out to see the canyon this evening.

Thanks BTV. Great plane and a great playground! And a special thanks for the waterski lesson.

It's a little intimidating taking a guy that's a CFI (heli and airplane) flying, but I had a great time. Hopefully I didn't scare Karmutzen shitless. :D

This is a great community and I am thankful to meet people I would have never met otherwise.

I'm proud to live where I do and have this playground. I would love to meet any of you who have the time to stop by.
