Another Sport Pilot Question (Sorry)
Discuss the legality of flying the backcountry, FARs, advocacy, and aviation relevant legislation. Registered users only.
Where there have been no STCs to increase an aircraft's gross weight, and the other Sport Pilot restrictions such as 'not more than two people' and speeds are met. And the TCDS states that
"V. - ... Maximum weight
Landplane 1310 lb." which is under 1320
"Seaplane 1375 lb. ..." which is under 1430
"VI. - Maximum weight
Landplane 1400 lb.
Seaplane with item 204," that being Edo 1320 floats, "1375 lb." under 1430
"Seaplane with item 212," that being Edo 1400 floats, "1470 lb. ..."
A person holding Sport Pilot credentials could obviously fly the "fifth" model listed on the type certificate.
Could they also fly the "sixth" model on Edo 1320s?
Thanks
Lisa
The anti-virus software blocking messages that contain parenthesis is rather annoying.

If that final entry – the "1470" one – applied to the plane in question, the airplane would not have "continuously met" the max GW limitations, and would thus not be eligible to be flown by a Sport Pilot (or PP exercising SP privileges), even if the floats were removed so that the original GW limits were restored. It's the dumbest mistake the FAA made in implementing the Light Sport rule... Hopefully to be rectified in the future, when the new rules come out... But I'm not holding my breath...

Not (sure) what you're (doing) to trigger it!$&+-()()
It's a reverse proxy to prevent outside attacks from hackers that would submit malicious request URLs and cause me hours and possibly days if work to repair. Sorry it's inconveniencing you but you have something else going on. It could be your IP address is already on a suspicious list or something.

Yes, note in several of my posts in this and your other thread that there are parentheses.

I have an understanding with technology. I don't really like it, and it doesn't really like me.
