Any BCP'ers want to be a movie star at Oshkosh?

If you are flying to Oshkosh in any of the aircraft listed below, and you would like to be a gen-u-wine movie star, there is a possibility that you will eventually be able to see your nasty mug on an EAA video.

EAA will be doing a video piece on a particular aviation safety product. I have floated out the idea to them that the "field test" units for this product can be installed in 60 seconds with no holes or changes. This gives them the ability to get instant real-time product reviews from actual aircraft owners on video, with very little video crew time. If EAA likes this idea, we will only have to arrange 5 or 10 minutes of time with each aircraft. I've also floated the idea of having the owner take the airplane around the pattern a couple of times with an EAA camera operator. So you might get to be a gen-u-wine movie star test pilot too if you like.

The airplanes applicable to this possible video thing are:

Maule
Stinson 108
Pacer/Tri-Pacer
PA-28, PA-32, PA-34, PA-44
Beech 19/23/24
Cessna 170-185 with manual flaps

Speaking in the most Machiavellian, Barnum-ian, Popiel-ian, and Brown Nose-ian way possible... I strongly encourage that any interested aircraft owners choose to wear those stylish and tasteful BackcountryPilot.Org shirts and hats for your movie star on-camera appearance

Thanks Brad, I appreciate it. I will see if the powers that be at EAA are willing to bring their video stuff down to the seaplane base.

Flap Guy,
There will be a group of short wingers in the same place we were last year when you fit one in my Tri. I think we were in row 66 or whatevere the rows are behind the quanset hut cafe in the vintage area. You are welcome to use my PA22 if you need one. Just look for the pink Tri(not mine), I will be wtihin a few spots of him. I'll stop by your booth, where?

Re: Any BCP'ers want to be a movie star at Oshkosh?

Thanks Bob, I appreciate it. Just got word from EAA HQ that the video idea will indeed happen. (EAA is also contemplating a Sport Aviation magazine article... that'll be fifteen minutes of fame for me for the fourth !($*% time)

I'll have an EAA video crew with me, and we can arrange to come to wherever you have a few airplanes parked, and have you and/or any number of short wing people participate in the video. How/when should I get in touch with you to make all this work in with with EAA's schedule etc.? Off-forum e-mail or something?

Thanks for your interest and offer,

Bill
