Asking for my hangar neighbor. I have experience flying an Aeronca 15AC 180hp on floats and it ripped, I think it could carry two adults and a big load in back off most any lake. Could a guy expect similar performance out of a 180hp Maule MX7? Is there enough wing?

Looks like approved floats are Edo 2440s, PK 2300, Aquas and Baumanns (can't recall the displacements), so it's a hunt for floats no matter how you slice it.
