Anyone Fly Trikes???
Sometimes the most fun way to get into the backcountry, Part 103 Ultralights and Light Sport Aircraft have their own considerations.
The crash in Anchorage where the trike tumbled; it was because the pilot went out of operating limitations, higher than 45 degree angle of climb and the tumble ensued. He obviously let it get weightless. Its not very easy to induce a tumble in a trike. Generally people attempting aerobatics in trikes get to start tumbles. That pilot fell out of the trike because of cheap seatbelt buckles (plastic - auto grade) before trike even hit the ground.

Trikes are about the most fun I have had with my pants on. I can't say that for airplanes. That's just me. Airplanes are great but if fun or adventure is what you are looking for, trikes are hard to beat. I flew my trike to Oshkosh and back 2400 miles. Wasn't a big deal. Cruise speed around 85 mph.
