For sure... with the river so low still, the gravel bars are numerous. The ones at :18 and 1:01 in particular. Heading out later today myself!

Looks like familiarity can breed errors. While I have seen charts of the whole of Idaho I caught myself, saying to myself, "Snake River in Eastern Idaho?" Took a couple of seconds to realize that I have always crossed into Idaho northbound near Nampa or Caldwell, or from Burns in the west.

From all the books on Idaho history that I have read over the years one would think that my mental picture would keep the whole Snake River picture in context - but it didn't. Either I reall am getting too old or maybe there is an embedded lesson here somewhere.

The video was good enough to make me homesick =D>
