Atlee Dodge Battery Rack Field Approval?
Have you modified your aircraft? STC? STOL Kit? Major rebuild from just a data plate?
I'm considering moving the battery on my 175 from back aft to the firewall with one of Atlee's firewall brackets. Unfortunately, his STC covers 180/185 and 170, but not 175.
Anyone had any experience installing one of these in a 172 or 175?

That looks like maybe a stock 170 style box. That's where I was thinking of mounting a rack and Odyssey battery. I'll call Dave when I have a couple hours to burn.

Hmmm, don’t know why I didn’t find that on their website earlier. Thanks!

Another option is Burl’s Aircraft for a battery box for the Odessey. I chose it because I could straddle my seaplane engine mount, and mount the box level. Battery comes out the front instead of out the top. Atlee Dodge may be best for you, but offered for comparison. Has STC and the AML included my 185.
Edit: AML is 180/185 only
