I seem to recall that MTV has a sling rear seat in his C170. I also recall that an outfit up in Anchorage(?) used to sell an STC'd sling seat kit. It was kinda spendy for what you got at about a grand, but being STC'd approval was a slam bunk which is nice. The sling itself was made of flat netting so it doubled as a cargo net. The name of the kit was a play on that: cargo-pass or something similar.

I don't have any engineering drawings either, but if you want to see my BAS jumpseat (now Lakeview) install in my 170 I am based at KCCR.

Thanks Bill.
Spoke with Jeff today on the phone. Super nice guy. He offered to drop his Javelin tank in his plane and snap some photos for me. I will post the pics with Jeff's permission when I get them.
