At our Lions Club meeting this morning, we voted to cancel this years fly in, as a couple of our Lions are dealing with health problems, and my wife, Teresa has signed us both up for an Alaskan cruise for that same weekend.
However, we are all committed to making the following years fly in the best ever. I think that the 2012 fly in could be more planes and fun than ever if we could finally get a weekend with no rain or wind. Our weather hasn't co-operated too much, for the last two years, but we have still had a great turn out.
I'm supporting Teresa on the cruise, because it is a special bluegrass cruise that they only do once a year, naturally on our fly in date, each year. But this year we decided to just go, as I have been promising to take her on this particular one for a long time, an she's a pretty damn good gal.
We are looking forward very much to the 2012 fly in though, and with fuel, it promises to be an even greater Austin event, as we would be able to do a lot more flying activities.
In the meantime, I'm sure I'll be seeing a lot of you around at the various fly in's etc... I'm planning on Johnson Creek again, however this time in a T Cart, as my Cub will probably be still getting a face lift.. ha ha
