Austin Nevada Fly-in cancelled this year only...

At our Lions Club meeting this morning, we voted to cancel this years fly in, as a couple of our Lions are dealing with health problems, and my wife, Teresa has signed us both up for an Alaskan cruise for that same weekend.

However, we are all committed to making the following years fly in the best ever. I think that the 2012 fly in could be more planes and fun than ever if we could finally get a weekend with no rain or wind. Our weather hasn't co-operated too much, for the last two years, but we have still had a great turn out.

I'm supporting Teresa on the cruise, because it is a special bluegrass cruise that they only do once a year, naturally on our fly in date, each year. But this year we decided to just go, as I have been promising to take her on this particular one for a long time, an she's a pretty damn good gal.

We are looking forward very much to the 2012 fly in though, and with fuel, it promises to be an even greater Austin event, as we would be able to do a lot more flying activities.

In the meantime, I'm sure I'll be seeing a lot of you around at the various fly in's etc... I'm planning on Johnson Creek again, however this time in a T Cart, as my Cub will probably be still getting a face lift.. ha ha

Joe,
Will look forward to 2012. As to the other flying, I think it is easier to explain to my ego why you fly so much better - in your SC. When the same happens despite you being in a T-crate, we'll be all out of excuses!

I expect to see video of a cowboy dancing a jig up on the front bow, where the Titanic couple stood.

If you want to go up, pull back on the controls. If you want to go down, pull back farther.

That T cart is fun, my cub spoiled me, this little baby makes ya use your feet. What a hoot though, and at 4 gph... =D> It will land short, but needs a bit to get back off with my lard butt in there. Does pretty good tho on 65hp.

Ya'll come on out, there's a pretty good pile of wood there.. They have been telling me this for three years now, but I'm still hearing that were going to get fuel this summer. We'll see I guess.
