Aviation Headset Bags - You got a Recommendation ?

Image

I am looking for recommendations on aviation headset bags that hold a single headset. I know they make double ones too, but I need single.

I have two old Bose X ANR headsets and the supplied black Bose bags are ...well…not impressive.

I also just picked up an AVCOMM AC-900 PNR, but no bag.

So:

(1) So what features and characteristics should I be looking for in a bag?

(2) Have you ever bought a separate headset bag and why did you choose that bag and for what particular model headset?

(3) Do you carry just the headset, or do you stuff other things into the bag?

(4) Do you have an aviation headset bag recommendation?

Some of what's available in 2015:

David Clark Single Headset bag

Bose Single Headset bag

MarvGolden Single Headset bag

ASA Single Headset bag

Oregon Aero Single Headset bag

Proflight Single Headset bag

Faro Premium Single Headset bag

Others

Anyway, it would be helpful to hear from others. Thank you.

I went with a pelican case and cut the foam with spots for my headset, stratus, spots, plane keys, and charging cords. I also cut Down the foam to place my iPad on top. Everything I need in one case.

I leave them in the plane, otherwise I would forget them. Now if I could just find that damned hangar key.

A few years ago, when I was still working, I bought a matching set of large & small Craftsman tool bags. I use them now to store stuff in the airplane- the large bag holds a tire pump, spare inner tube, sweater, misc semi-bulky shot that's handy to have "just in case". The smaller tool bag is sized just right to carry two headsets and the seat belts for my folding jumpseats.

1, It needs to be larger to hold more than just a head set. Also not so expensive. More flexible than those special padded bags so it isn't so bulky.

2, I have several that I bought because they looked cool. They are all sitting on the closet shelf.

3, My overnight stuff. Toothbrush, clean socks... sometimes a nomex flight suit.

4, I worked for a large employer that gave me a couple Military Flight helmet bags. They have a large main compartment, two velcro/snap closed compartments on the outside that can each hold a headset or other stuff you need to keep organized so you can find it easily, and a couple inside pockets for other smaller things. Best all around bag I have.

Very inexpensive here. http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R4 ... g&_sacat=0
