Aviation Themed Garage/Hangar
A general forum for anything related to flying the backcountry. Please check first if your new topic fits better into a more specific forum before posting.
Good Day All,
Since everyone lurking around here are all Aviation/Aircraft enthusiists, I was wondering if anyone had any pictures to share of their aviation themed Garage or Hangar. I apologize for the intention to "Plagiarize", i was just looking for neat ideas to do a makeover!
Cheers

I flew with a guy, now retired, that had a house built in Texas that was a scaled down version of the "old" Denver Stapleton terminal. The control tower was the guest bedroom. Has a hangar with a cub inside to go with the house. I don't have pictures but you may be able to google it. Interesting place, all voice or internet activated. He could flush his toilets, turn lights on or off or change climate controls from anywhere on the planet by logging onto his home computer or just speaking a command.

A few years back I was down in Boulder Nv helping a guy with his Zenith 801 and the guy with the hangar next door had a pretty elaborate themed set up. He was a retired TWA captain. Maybe Bill Reid can chime in and provide pics. The TWA guy was named Glen Smith I think.

Glen's hanger is a few down from mine. I believe Glen sold his airplane but still owns the hanger. Glens hanger is pretty neat with office and "stewardess training center" and bedroom up stairs. Lots of old neat airplane stuff adorn the walls .Floor is black and white checkerboard .Room for lots of airplanes -Same size as mine 84 wide x 40 deep. Glen's a retired TWA driver. My hanger is filled with airplanes and "stuff" . Hanger with 801 was Charlie Barrett next to Glen. Charlie has since sold 801 and now has a PA-12 in there .

Altitude is Time…. Airspeed is Life!
[quote="MtCoyote"]This is my project in Salmon Idaho. I have built this Hanger/House solely with my own labor. Only had help with the concrete slab and hanging the trusses. Even fabricated my bifold door. Working on the cabinets in the living area. Will be using blue stained pine from trees I logged, milled and finished. We will be moved in next spring

BTW, I stopped by on the way back from Kalispell Mont., right where you said it was! I guess you know you have a neighbor to the north with a similar (canyon strip that is) setup? Looking good! I didn't land, just did a looksee from above.

All of those places look great. Anyone have any interior pictures of their 'well decorated' Hangars.
Cheers
