Avionics Repair / Installation Recomendation- MT

Anyone have a good recomendation for shop that does avionics repair / installation in the Hamilton / Missoula, Montana area? Maybe a shop that values customers other than those that burn kerosene?

Thanks

Might be a stretch for your location but Ron @ The Avionics Shop in Twin Falls is my preference for installs and 24-month certs. Most bang for the buck anywhere I could find. I've used him 3 times and in 7 years and have always felt that he was more than fair so I fly the hour and 20 minutes to use him.

Aerotronics has a shop in Missoula. Hands down some of the best in the country, and nice folks to boot.

They work on everything from kerosine queens to home units.

I've had work done on two planes ranging from transponder checks to a total panel build at Aerotronics in Billings. Virtually everyone at my home base in Wyoming goes to aerotronics, I won't bother going anywhere else.

Great info -

Sixtwoleemer- I actually have spoke to Ron in Twin Falls a couple of times and have heard good things, that is certainly an option.

Cowboy - Do you have any experience with Aerotronics in Missoula? I have also heard good things about the Aerotronics shop in Billings, it might be worth the flight to get there.

Thanks!

Aerotronics in Missoula is every bit the stand up and quality outfit that their Billings operation is.

X2 on Ron in Twin Falls and also for Aerotronics (I've used Billings, I assume Missoula is good too, I just don't have first hand experience). My experience is that Ron is easier on my wallet. Both do excellent work, so you really can't loose either way.

I've not dealt with Aerotronics in MSO but it is the same company.

Steve Vold and his staff are great. Steve spend a lot of time with me for my panel planning on my old Mooney to get it just right, and remain within budget. My latest work with Aerotronics was the install on a new Comm in my 170 and removal of (a lot) of old wiring. Gordon did a great job, fixed a few minor issues along the way and made it new install look great. They have actually talked me out of a few things over the years as unnecessary and expensive. A hangar neighbor had Aerotronics pull the entire panel of his Aerostar and install a custom glass panel with all the bells and whistles, looks marvelous. I really can't say enough positive about Aerotronics.

Total disclosure.. I don't work for Aerotronics, nor get any kick backs (darn it! )
