Back Country Paper Boy

Has this been around? 92 year old paper boy, delivering "his" newspapers via an Aeronca Sedan.
A very good human interest story too.

Those old Sedans really are a good looking plane. They came with a C-145 just like the 170.

Yea, I remember reading about him years ago, he was also a aerial photographer, and had the unique trademark of getting his shadow in all of his photos..

Re: Back Country Paper Boy

In 1955 I flew with Frank Kindel out of Carlsbad N.M. "Flying Paper Boy Of The Guadalupes" He flew and I dropped the papers to remote ranches. It was a Piper PA-12 Cub, registered as N2816M.

http://www.roadsideamerica.com/story/7024

Since Kindel's death, a Carlsbad doctor, T. E. Hauser, had taken up his annual chore of dropping papers by plane to hunters in the Guadalupe Mountains. But no one has taken up the every Sunday flight that Kindel used to take each week lo see that area's ranchers.
