Re: backcountry beer

Cool concept, but seems like a lot of work...I think I would opt to just carry a growler of home brew for speedy enjoyment of that frosty beverage. :D what say you, AKT?

I think it is easier and more practical to just drink Bourbon.

Re: backcountry beer

These guys obviously don't have a Maule and a grocery store... :) Kinda fun though to carbonate on the spot.

Kevbert... without the CO^2 I have a feeling that concentrate is gak :-&

Everclear and Kool Aid probably packs more buzzes per ounce and a lot easier to mix! 8)

Flying is dangerous. If you think otherwise, you are new at this sport. Mind the gravity not the gap.

People like me who really shouldn't carry a 60lb pack partly because it has a few beers in it. Intriguing idea. I wonder how they concentrate it?

You know, diluted everclear really doesn't taste as much like vodka as one might think.

One reason I like to camp by a stream, at least the beer can be kept somewhat cool. :P

Hahaha...that's just what I was thinking, but during the winter there's lot of that around anyway.

I think the backcountry beer is a grand idea, especially for a climber or backcountry skier, but even with my love of flying lawnmowers, it'll still be a cold day in hell before there is no room for a 6-pack. :P

Re: backcountry beer

Yeah, I think it definitely makes more sense for the backpacker crowd (of which I am one). I remember one trip involving 9 pounds of wine in my already heavy backpack, and there were no bottles involved. But for flying? Yeah, no.
