I bought this today at Wally World (camping dept.), hi and lo settings, plus flashing red (good for those romantic tent times, hopefully with a partner), plus a magnetic base. Note small size (beer bottle strictly for sense of scale purposes). Runs over 70 hrs on 4 AA batteries. Has a very trick reflector/diffuser that, hung from the "ceiling" of a tent, should give some good general illumination. LED of course.
Best of all FIVE BUCKS!

Quality is for sure 5 bucks worth, actually quite good. This, plus a previously obtained LED headlamp for spotlighting, along with backup candles, will be my new lighting strategy. Be sure to have a second headlamp for romantic encounters, again hopefully with another, as they clearly show where your attention is directed if you are both wearing them (and nothing else) it can be riotously fun!
I love the fact that the LED technology is coming down so fast in price, I am very glad I do not own stock in a compact flourescent bulb company, as LED's are set to take over home lighting in the very near future. Look for home size bulbs at Home Depot, Lowes, etc. in less then a year. They'll be the cheapest and most expensive bulbs all at the same time:most up front cost, lowest operating plus super long life. In office buildings the lack of heat output will save tons of air conditioning costs and equipment.
