C-17 dude. 158 passengers or 170,900 of cargo. It only runs us about 15,000 bucks an hour, burning about 18,000 pounds of fuel an hour. Comes out to just under 2700 gph of JP-8 at cruise. Totally doable...
Civilian flying wise, I would love one of those AN-2s. You can buy a lot of gas with the more than 1.5 million dollar savings over a quest or caravan...

After seeing the pack plane I think I'm in love! That thing was really neat. I wonder why it didn't catch on. The detachable cargo pod was a great idea!

Looks like it's got retractable gear directly under the engines on either side of the cargo pod. Duals go both forward and back so a set of gear at each corner.
