Bad day for experimentals

Looks like the brand new Gulfstream 650.... Seems to me they broke the speed record last month for biz jets... And crashed it on the take off roll. Geez,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, :( :? :? :(

Re: Bad day for experimentals

I'm not a big fan of the FBW shit. I fly one and it scares me :(
Unfortunately, if it was the reason for the accident, they will be selling them before the NTSB report comes out.
Legacy aircraft for me... Period!
Gulpstream is, and always will be the only corporate plane for me.
I'll take reliability over wizbang any day!

In the mean time, I'm peddling the French shit (7X) horrible airplane.... against my will!

Re: Bad day for experimentals

I got some feedback from people in Roswell....

Seems Gulfstream had the plane fully instrumented with 100 channel data aquisition rig, and supposably two real time video feeds, plus a few cameras rooling footage of the entire sequence. They probably already know the exact cause... The factory semi that houses the recording equipment is seen at 1:26 into this video.

Here is a better news report of the incident.... Godspeed to the crew...

The guys in the tower had to have been freaking out seeing it come right at them.
