Barnstormer C170
Technical and practical discussion about specific aircraft types such as Cessna 180, Maule M7, et al. Please read and search carefully before posting, as many popular topics have already been discussed.
Noticed two things today in Anchorage. There are a lot more Cessna 170's on the flight lines than I would have expected.
Second, a listing popped up today on Barnstormers for a very low time 170. Anybody that has been looking might want to check it out. I would, but I understand divorce lawyers have not dropped their rates during this depression....

Flying is dangerous. If you think otherwise, you are new at this sport. Mind the gravity not the gap.
The low time barnstormer ad is for real. I went to the estate sale they had and got disgusted bidding against family members. I quit @ $5400 cause I was just bidding against family members trying to push the price up. I'll tell you what I know. The airplane has had two owners the logs are complete all the way back to Witchataw. The plane last flew in 1986 it has mice all through it plus two gunshot holes in it. The plane is all there but needs a total ground up and some corrosion taken care of. The interior is original the headliner is completely mouse piss stained. The auction ended @ $6,400 with what appears to be the family getting at back. I guess they will probably get that much on barnstormers. There was a good many people seriously bidding on it. Hope this helps
