BCP Member in Hospital

Please join me in wishing our friend 182STOLdriver, Bill Reid, a speedy recovery and exit from sick bay.

Details are not my place to make public, but I can say at this point that his prognosis is good, and he'll be as good as new and back to his ornery self pretty soon.

Bill is a tremendous asset to the aviation community, served his country with distinction for many years, and as an experienced aircraft inspector he has probably saved more than one pilot or airplane from being damaged. Mine was one of 'em.

Please add Bill to your prayers, good thoughts, best wishes, etc. Those of you who wish to contact him with get-well-soon messages please start off with a text message, so Bill can text back or call at the best time for him.

Recover quick! The BCP ornery factor is completely out of whack!

I hope you're back in the air soon.

Re: BCP Member in Hospital

Update, Bill has successfully come through open heart surgery and is in ICU recovery.

4 days SMOH.

It will take a little time for him to get back in the air, but he will be back airborne in the coming weeks or months.

Thanks to the BCP'ers for your good wishes and prayers; I mentioned it and he was grateful to have his fellow pilots rooting for his speedy recovery.

He's coming along pretty well, spoke to him yesterday. The ornery meter needle has just started to come up off the peg :)

Not bad for a week after a quintuple bypass.

Re: BCP Member in Hospital

Just spent several days at the Fargo VA hospital. Patiently waiting on the spousal unit during her recovery from surgery. Hospitals are no fun but better than the alternative.

Best of luck and well wishes for Bill.
