BCP Store is online! (and shipping updates)

After 1.5 weeks of debugging and tweaking, I think it will work. I used an open source cart solution that is a little immature, and hasn't gotten all the bugs worked out.

If you have any errors or problems, PM me. The checkout process can be delicate.

Known issues:

  • It's a little slow, be patient. I'm still optimizing the site so it doesn't hammer the server so hard.
  • The login form at checkout is for the store only, it's not connected to your forum login.
  • You have to enter your billing address again for the payment section... I couldn't get the credit card module to grab the already entered billing address. Sorry for the extra input... it's finger exercise.

All shipping is US Postal Service, first couple days are going to be really busy so bear with me.

Thanks for your support!

Re: BCP Store is online!

I just ordered three shirts. The PayPal payment system worked cleanly. I'll possibly be back for a jacket when it starts cooling off.

Get those moths out of your wallet all you mugs, and make a commitment to support this really cool place with your greenbacks. Not only did he go off and build this playground for all of our big egos and big mouths, but then he went off and invested a chunk of cold hard cash to have really nice products made.

Zane, if the shirts work out financially, I'd like to suggest you have some BCP logo stickers or window decals made. I'll pony up to get a pair of those and run them on my airplane and my toolbox. I'll bet a lot of other guys will too. There's a good inexpensive printing company online (and located here in LA) called Uprinting.com which I have had good results with. Right next to Van Nuys airport.

What talent agency did you use to find the model in the ball cap with the goatee? :D

Re: BCP Store is online!

Although their knuckles and intellects drag on the ground even more than they think their testicles do... I'll have to admit the Super Cub group demonstrated a very appealing solution to this very garment modeling problem.

They asked their wives/daughters/ girlfriends/independent contractors etc. to model their club T-shirts and posted the results. I saw several forum posts over there, where one or two particularly healthy ladies very persuasively showcased the inherent aesthetic value of their T-shirts.

Maybe BCP can likewise strive to aim for that moral and visual high ground using some of our more physically fit members and their sigificant's to compete for a member voted contest.

Sweet, Zane! Ordered a bunch of stuff for me and the family. That sectional T-shirt might come in handy when the chart flies out the window and the kids are playing Angry Birds on the iPad.

Nice work Zane!

That was the wife of a friend of mine who got killed in a Lancair crash a couple of years ago. She had been a well known model in her 20's and 30's (still drop dead/write bad checks gorgeous at 50), and on a lark she agreed to be the original EZ Flap girl. She had bought a beautiful 1985 Bonanza with her husband, and she had been taking flight lessons in it about the time he died. Even though she knew full well it was not a trainer, she loved that airplane and was willing to spend the extra time it took. I think she's re-married now, sorry guys.

When the opportunity to make a video happened, I decided to find a similar looking but younger girl to model for the video. My wife reminded me her friend just happened to have a knockout blonde daughter (you know they grow on trees in this area, don't you?) and that I had taken said knckout for a ride in the 172. Candace thought it would be fun, she has an attitude as fantastic as her looks, and so she said she would come out and help us make a video. She happened to drive to the airport last weekend on LA's famous 405 freeway. Every male motorist with a heartbeat stopped and gawked at this girl, then immediately made screeching U-turns, and tried to chase her down to get her number.

The ensuing slow speed police chase and media coverage caused a major freeway closure in our city last weekend. They called it "Carmageddon", and the rest is history

Re: BCP Store is online!

Don't know what kind of scam is going on here, but I ordered some stuff about 2pm today, and it's a little after 5pm now, and still no package on my door step. WTF What a slacker!

Registration isn't mandatory. You can "checkout as guest."

Hafast, you got your 3D printer hooked up?
