Half a century spent proving “it is better to be thought a fool than to open your mouth and remove all doubt.”
I joined and uploaded a video but forgot to title it. How do I add a title and description.
Searched the site pretty well but cannot find a way to do it.

Never mind, I figured it out. Put in my Delle, UT video.

Hey, everybody that recently joined Vimeo.com-- Where it asks you to specify your First and Last Name, use a more cryptic username, like you do on this site. I simply use "1SeventyZ" for my Vimeo name as well.
After our recent lessons learned around here, let's put some those best practices to use.

Yeah, I hereby accept responsibility for any and all mistakes volunteered upon video. Bring on your groundloops, your gear crushing pancakes, your tailwheel ripping-offs...

This is awesome! Nice work to everyone posting vids!
Hey, is there any chance we can also upload some of these airport specific videos to the shortfield.com database? The reason I encourage also uploading to SF is that the videos (and other content) are associated with a single searchable airstrip database and can be found more easily than wading through potentially hundreds of videos in search of the one airstrip you're looking for.
It's kind of like YouTube, in that there are lots of approach vids for various airstrips, but it's sometimes hard to find them and then when you do, you have to look somewhere else for PIREPs and other airstrip information.
Just a thought.

I agree completely with Chris. As part of your video uploading practices, you should upload to both locations. If you have to choose only one because you're late for work, upload to Shortfield.com from the particular airport/airstrip you've got footage of. The data we're amassing over there is invaluable.

The "shortfield" database is wonderful, and it is an honor to serve as a source of information to the back-country flying community in any capacity that I can. I am happy to download to both locations from this point forward. I have a bunch of clips and an addiction to flying in to new and challenging places, so many more are on their way.
I have checked the videos of mine on "Vimeo" with locations disclosed to "allow others to download source video". Is that adequate to be transferred to "shortfield", or is the quality diminished?

That would allow some other benevolent soul to upload your videos for you to SF, but the architecture of the database is user-contributed media and data, which means you, the contributor, get to look up Owyhee and upload your video.

Yeah...what Zane said. It really is designed to be a user populated tool...the more people share their content (pireps, vids, photos, etc.) the more objective and robust the tool becomes. Plus, even if I had the ability to add enough content to make it useful, I'd never be able to add the personal opinions and impressions that each user adds. Know what I mean?
