Looks like a scenic route home. That's my stomping grounds.
As your Foreflight will tell you, there is no fuel in Dove creek or Chinle. Check out Canyon de Chelly on the way into/out of Chinle.
Safe travels.

I was flying the Bearhawk to Marana often but I'm not going there as often now. It would be good to meet up with you the next time I'm down that way and do a two ship flight to someplace.

Re: Bearhawk'n home

I had big plans to pop in and out of airports along the way. In the end I decided it would be smart to take advantage of the good wx over the rocks and keep scootin' towards home. First stop AIB.

Next leg. It's early so might as well keep heading to the barn. Haven't seen a good camping spot, so off I go.
Second stop P14.

Leg two down, it's still early and the wx is good. Plane and pilot fueled up, time to finish up. Come on Bearhawk, take me home.

...and here's what happens when you arrive home a day early while your husband is off fishing for the weekend.
You get to ride home (20 miles) on a dirtbike.

Re: Bearhawk'n home

Looks like a great trip.

I gotta say though, that's the cleanest dirt bike I've ever seen in my life. Did you just buy it for the trip home?

That is a beautiful shot of it in the hanger with the RV off the left wing tip. Love that angle.

Yes, my route was ambitiously scenic. I laid out the route like a hungry shopper fills thier grocery cart. I had to put a lot of "groceries" back. :)

It's a spare that sits in the hangar. Glad it was there and ready to go. As a sidenote, out dirtbikes never go to bed dirty. :)
