Beech 18 roll call

A couple friends and I are looking into finding a complete beech 18 to play with, what is still sitting around? Every airport used to have one it seems like.

Are you looking for a project, or an airworthy airplane? Trade-a-Plane has a number of Beech 18's listed, but be forewarned!! Some thoughtless bastards have transformed a few of these elegant, classy ladies into nose-dragging beasts of questionable virtue...

I am looking for a ferry-able project, A C45, C18 or D18, no nose wheels and no high cabins. I posted on here because I am looking for those ramp queens that are not advertised.

Give Greg a call in Guymon OK, I have not talked to him in a few years, but he is a 18 and round motor Guru and knows where lots of ol warbirds hang out. 580-338-0481, Good luck, If there was only 1 aircraft and I could afford the gas the 18 would be it, I just loved mine!! Just that $300 for the first hour of gas and then $250 for each one after that was kind of a hard one when it quit working and I had to buy the gas!!

There is or was an old Beech 18 parked at Harvey Field S43 in Snohomish WA. Not quite in ferryable condition as I recall. I think it probably used to be a Methow Aviation freighter. The airport manager there might be able to give you more info.

Re: Beech 18 roll call

Thanks for Greg's info. Does anybody have pictures of the D18 at the Deer Park, WA airport(DEW), or fly into Yerington, NV O43 often enough to know whats going on with the Beech sitting there?

If it's at Deer Park, Don Morse of Discount Aviation Salvage might know about it or even own it.
