Hey everyone,
I've been away for a year or so and have not had a lot of time to peruse the BCP community. I thought I would inaugurate my return with just a quick post.
I am no longer part of the Cherokee 140 partnership where myself and 3 other guys went in. It was a little bit too much of a hassle for me. They eventually went on to sell the 140 (since i was the one flying it the most) and made a profit (go figure...after I left.)
So I have only flown once since that time, I am feeling more and more rusty everyday. During July 2014 (last time I flew) I rented a Cessna 172 (same one I got my PP in) and used it at a flying where we opened up our home airport (KAOV) to the community and gave free rides. I spent $400 bucks flying that day! That was a hard pill to swallow...but it was a "relatively" cheap rental! It was $100 /hr wet.
I gave 12 rides that day and everyone had great fun! I sure forgot the difference in flying characteristics of a Cherokee versus a Cessna! Took a few practice landings to get smooth again.
There is some exciting news. I am moving to Alaska this July 2015. I'll mostly be just doing IT work, but I hope to get back into flying though.
Anyway, here's a few pictures of that event. Don't remember how I was supposed to share these pictures so here is a link to my public Google drive. Take care.
