Big Bar work party 3/21/08. Get your work gloves.

LET'S PARTY!!!!
Looks like the IAA is starting the 2008 work party season with Big Bar in Hell's Canyon this coming Friday 3/21/08.
I believe the working won't start until Saturday but some are flying up on Friday to camp and pre-party party.

If you're not scarin' yourself, you're not scarin' the crowd!

Sounds like a good time. I'd hitch a ride in with someone if was wasn't already committed to something else...the rivers are on the rise and my wife wants to go kayaking.

I'm going to try and sneak in there tomorrow if the weather allows, but should be able to make it on Saturday as the forcasters are calling for that break that Wup referred to.

Georgie, does this mean we will be seeing you there??!!? Was in to Big Bar on Friday and the strip was nice and dry. If you haven't been there before, be aware that the upstream / south end of the strip is canted toward the river. Stay on the narrow double track. If you stray from the path, there are plenty of boulders in the grass. I think we will be painting several of them with bright colors, at the work party. (My kids called dibs on that job - we'll see how much ends up on the rocks).
Will be my first flight out with the new sneakers, so have to see how many bounce marks there are in the dirt.
Whee, did you get that BFR done yet? I hear there's a new tailwheel CFI in the area. 8)
Hope to see you all there.

Not yet, next week is spring break so I'll either go to IF and get it done or have the plane brought here. I haven't been able to get a hold of Chuck yet so I'm still lookin for a CFI on this side of the state...so tell me about this new guy...

I would love to come and help some, but I am in the middle of my annual on 9054N. I ran into some problems and it is going to take a little longer than I hoped. So I am going to have to beg off. Bob
