BRLP V3 "On Ice"

If I were more computer savvy I would post the video. You can go to my web site and see a short teaser for V3.

www.bentpropproductions.com

I am very grateful for the time I was able to spend at Ultima Thule Lodge while Paul Claus gave me one on one instruction on how to use skis. It opens up a whole new world. Places that you could only land with floats during spring and summer are everywhere. Glaciers that are rough and dangerous are now covered in deep powder (still some dangers there), some of the roughest spots you can imagine on 35" tundra tires are baby-butt smooth. Paul also treated me to seeing the Turbine Otter up close and in action, which is in the video. This time of year is really a great time to get out in Alaska. You have to be prepared for the cold but, with rain still coming down here in Washington State, I will take the cold and snow over that any day.

I hope you all can get a taste of what is great about ski flying in the Wrangells of Alaska!

Greg--

Over the past few years watching your progression in flying skill as well as your film making it has been a treat, also a huge rush!! I know that I personally am already looking forward to the next adventure!!

To those of you who are thinking about getting this Video I say don't wait, just get it you will not be disappointed. Greg has put together a great film that leaves you wanting it to never end, the scenery the planes and the skill involved in doing what can only be described as nothing less than Inspiring to those that truly love the freedom of flight. Also to watch a truly skilled pilot like Paul take his T Otter in and out of places that would make most cringe at even the thought is nothing short of amazing and as I am sure Greg will tell you all Paul Donna and their family are a class act.

Thank you Greg for putting a Quality film together that keeps those that love to fly at the edge of their seat droolin' wanting more and for sharing your passion with those that may not fly GA but dream of someday doing so.

For those on the fence, I'll be writing a more in depth review with screen captures in a week or so.

Greg, I imagine you're planning on being here in Anchorage for the Aviation Trade Show May 3 and 4, (would probably double show sales of the video) and certainly for the Valdez fly-in and STOL contest on May 9-11. I hope to go over there from Anchorage just to watch. My skills and bird aren't good enough to compete.

Valdez maybe

I would love to make it up for both but I have used up most of my get away time (just back from 3 weeks at Ultima Thule Lodge). I am still trying to show up for the May day fly in though. I will not have my airplane so if I do get to fly, it will be in Mike Olsen's experimental Super Cub. I am still looking for a way to Valdez from Anchorage. I don't want to rent a car and have to drive it. Will see?

My porn and crack came in the mail. I ordered all 3 videos and the Tshirt. I wore the Tshirt in my squadron today and got a lot of thumbs up. The porn is really great! I watched the first 2 and am savoring the anticipation of watching the 3rd installment. Is it wrong to get more excited by airplane porn than the immoral kind? :?: or is it just being a pilot that does that to you?

Greg, those are some amazing videos. Fly safe, stay sane, and keep 'em coming!

Just when I'm ready to pull the trigger on buying my own plane, life gets in the way. Well to hell with that!

for all ages too

I just got an email today from Kim @ Northern Lights Avionics in Anchorage. She wanted to let me know that I may be the possible cause of some future aviators. She told me that one of her customers told her that his 1 1/2 year old just loved to watch the videos (up to 5 times a day).

Just me and Sesame Street, shaping the minds of the young.

Good viewing for this time of year- Gets you excited for the season, like Warren Miller movies for those of us that fly ski planes.

Given how much harder everything is in winter, this really is a decent amount of footage, and flying and landing sequences.

And given the burn rate of a turbine Otter, I guess the price still a value.

Too funny Greg. My one year old was the exact same way. Anytime I would put it on he would jump for joy, screaming "pwane - pwane", and then then sit mesmerized through both I & II. My wife would use them to keep him occupied while she did the laundry.

Hell of a lot better than Barney anyway!
