Re: Big tire husky.. Real speed?

Both a Husky and a Scout are great bush planes and can get in and out of 99% of wherever you want to go and get there relatively quick. Much quicker than a super cub that is.
If they just weighed 300 lbs less they could do that last 1% and that is the real exciting stuff.

Took the picture to remind me of the name, Kageet Point in Icy bay
I am kinda challenged today on getting some pictures up!?!?
If you go to my gallery and then open the new album album, you can see a few pictures of that area.
When I tried putting them in the reply it kept telling me it could not determine the dimensions?? oh Well?

Had some nice times in the area.

Great Pictures. Looks like the whole family was having a good time.

I've landed at Kageet Point previously. Pictured below is Kageet Point on a sunny day. The place where we landed yesterday is in the following picture on a small portion of the beach that is just to the right of the glacier where it enters Icy Bay.

Yesterdays landing site but taken on a sunny day last summer:

Ok now I know where your at. Your right about the only time to stop there is when the wind has all the bergy bits stacked in there to protect you. Wayne and I were in there one time just meandering around collecting glass balls, beach was full of little bergy bits that were about all melted.
Was in there with the M6 and SC.
Love the pix, have not looked at those pix for awhile, kind of makes me wish I was back in that part of the world at times! But life moves on to different places. Then I remember the 160 inches of rain and a couple hundred of snow, Yep that's one of the reasons I moved on.
Enjoy, and thanks for the pix.
