I have seen a square tail on a '61 which had a conversion on it for the nosewheel on the correct end.
It sold for $36K but it needed an overhaul.
I sold a C-170 to a gentleman in MT. The mechanic he brought down was the son (future owner) of the owner of the STC for the conversion. The STC only runs $1,500. (You just need the parts and labor)
