I'm in the market for a portable aviation GPS. Anyone know of any deals this weekend? I've been bouncing between buying an IPad and the Stratus or gdl 39, but I've also flying with some the Garmin 296 and like Garmins portable aviation products.

Having been in the sales world a long time, I would suggest hanging in there until the week between Xmas and New Year.

Sales managers need last minute sales to make their forecast or get their bonus and, depending on the company, orders received or shipped before Dec. 31 counts towards that year's numbers. It is the "let's make a deal" week.

This BS is why I have spent untold hours on the telephone the week after Xmas shepherding orders through the purchasing process.
