Bob Hoover

I am sure a lot of you have seen this little video of Bob Hoover. I watch it now and then, especially when I start thinking that I can fly. I am posting it in case only one person has not seen it yet.

Chuck Yeger said that Bob Hoover is the best stick and rudder man he has ever known. Now that is a compliment.

Thanks for posting this inspiring video. I've never seen it b4, but Hover's show at Oshkosh, is emblazened in my memory from years ago.
I'm going to put on my wet wx gear and spread plastic sheeting all 'round the cockpit, and try the pouring of the tea that He demonstrates!

How can I download a copy of that? I haven't actually seen it before, just heard about it for years.

I had the pleasure of seeing Mr. Hoover perform at the California Airshow in Salinas years ago. I will never get over his amazing ability when it comes to energy management. As he said, he performed all those engine out manuevers then landed and taxied to the exact spot he had left from (like within inches) and the plane rolled to a stop without him touching a brake.

It was the most amazing performance I think I have ever seen.
