Boulder City flight-- 182 STOL driver.

I might stop and visit some friends in Las Vegas on my trip to AZ. and am thinking of landing at Boulder City, NV. I see Bill aka 182 STOL driver is based there. I was wondering if there is any thing I should know if I plan on a stop there. I know that runways 15, 27R, nd 9R are all right hand patterns. If you can tell me anything else that would help I would appreciate it. Skybobb.

I suggest you don't use the short "glider" runway, you cannot get off and go to the ramp. Use the longer runway parallel to the ramp (East-West I believe).

They're gonna have to medevac my fat ass out of here with a Skycrane, because I don't think the turbine S-58 has the capacity. There's a trail of BBQ rib bones from the end of Beale St. to the Miss. river!

Not sure if I will stop on my way down. My wife has to have a procedure and my timing is getting all jammed up. I may bring the wife and visit friends later on when we are down there.

Are we going to have get "wing X" gross weight increase for EZ FLAP 1 ? You may have to get another airline seat for the return to SO-Cal > and don't forget the seat belt extenders . Did you go meet Elvis ?

Or I'll have to pick him up with the rig. I'll need some "Oversize Load" signs. :D

I think I will be at the Super Speedway in Vegas around the 15-17th 8) Can't wait!! That's the best track in the U.S.!! (right under flight paths for Nellis AFB :P )

Well yeah when I was 15, but that was in another life that has nothing to do with airplanes.

We did get to drive by his great big tacky house today, and see a 707 parked across the street, and have a chance to buy extremely high-value Elvis merchandise at disturbing prices.

One of the books in the Elvis memorabilia store across the street had a photo caption that said 707, and we didn't get close enough to notice. My bad... you got me. Should have paid attention to the windshield shape. I'm ashamed

If you're in Vegas, you MUST stop at Memphis BBQ.. Every time I leave I feel like I'm going to explode!
