Moose's isn't, no. Moose, don't think I've ever met you. I've flown over your place before when I was flying a 7KCAB out of FTG. Nothing to fly now. If I can make good progress on finals this week maybe I'll drive up...meeting up with Matt later that day anyway.

Re: Breakfast at Moose's COLORADO

There will be some folks that might have to drive. Plug in my address into google maps, it gives pretty good directions and a satellite view of field. 24146 Rd 166, Deer Trail, CO . My field is about 10 miles north of Matt's.

Re: Breakfast at Moose's COLORADO

Do you ever have any problems with atc ? I would like to come, but I don't have a transponder and your strip looks really close to the 30 mile ring. I would be coming from the north east.

Re: Breakfast at Moose's COLORADO

The 30 nm ring for Mode C is northwest 4 or so miles, so its no factor. The edge of Class B airspace at 10-12K goes over the center of my field, and is no factor either. I get a lot of ultralight traffic at times that comes out of the 30 nm ring and I know that they are not squawking. But I never asked them either.

Hope that helps. Moose

The faster I go , the farther behind I get.

Re: Breakfast at Moose's COLORADO

There is no official start time. I will have coffee ready for those early birds, and I will have breakfast going as long as people are eating. WX forecast is looking great.

Re: Breakfast at Moose's COLORADO

Just found out that we will have a special guest with us. A WWII B-24 pilot who flew missions over Italy. I regard these folks as a national treasure. He should arrive about 7:30, and he always loved flying small aircraft like cubs.

Breakfast at Moose's COLORADO

I'm going to drop in to say hi maybe around 8am.

Just to confirm - you use the standard multicomm frequency, 122.9, right?

Re: Breakfast at Moose's COLORADO

122.9 Sounds good to me. Runway is in good shape after the rain we had. Wind are looking light for the morning, probably southerly. Wife did a grocery run.

Love it when a plan comes together...Cya in the morning...Moose

Re: Breakfast at Moose's COLORADO

That was a great little fly-in Moose! Good folks and a great breakfast. It was nice to see a handful of BCP'ers there too.

I'll post up a few pictures in a bit.

Re: Breakfast at Moose's COLORADO

WOW... thanx to the BCPers who showed up. It is always fun to get that many different types of pilots together. Hang glider pilots to 747 captains, and everything in between.

We had some folks who missed breakfast, but still made it in(4 pm). I saw some great photos from one fella who was pretty handy with a camera. LOL, he took some pics of me in the Dragonfly, (I look like a kid who showed up to a Harley rally riding a moped:)

Maybe the next one will be with skis and a bonfire.

Till then .... Moose
