So I am flying along today fat dumb and happy and I look over my shoulder to clear for traffic and I see this damn Red and Black Mooney about to run me over!!!
Well actually it was an impromptu rejoin and Piperpainter showing off. Sorry for my crappy pics Piper next time we'll get some better ones of you. We met in Lodi, CA today for a quick breakfast. We both had other stops to make so it was short but it's always fun to hook up with other BCPers in places other than Idaho. Here's a couple more shots I got. Oh and BTW I was running 90mph IAS and about 70mph groundspeed. Doesn't even look like the Mooney is even close to hanging on the prop and he hung in right there for a couple miles. Nice job man!
That's a formation combo you don't see every day, did you see how the Mooney stuck with you during some slow flight? Oh wait, 90 mph WAS slow flight for him!
30+mph cross winds, snow, fog, and rain here, for days now.
What can I say I like running down those little guys! haha jk! Breakfast was great and doing a little impromtu form was fun as well. I will admit that I had to put the flaps down, otherwise I would have overrun ya! Put eventually I was able to milk them out! haha Great breakfast choice. I did a little low level over folsom on the way back to Lincoln. A great day of flying for sure!
