My better half was driving up into Canada from Oregon yesterday and heard on a Northern Washington radio station about a Bushpilot Bluegrass concert. It was one of those Community Chalkboards, but she couldn't remember the details of where. I have her pretty well brainwashed with flying, and she called me at home to inform me. Does anyone up in that area know anything about this? Sounds like an excuse for a flying trip.
On another note, I stopped in at Spanish Springs, Nv. this past week for fuel. I think I had one of the nicest welcoming/greetings I've ever had at an airport. Also some of the cheapest (all relative) avgas in recent months. Nice "old school" dirt strip.

I stopped in on 23 July and got the same warm welcome. 100LL was 4.99 then . . . cheapest in the area. They monitor unicom so call ahead on the radio as there is no automated self-serve.

Roger, my brother is the banjo player in a bluegrass band in Ashland. Maybe he knows something about it. I know they travel around to festivals now and then to perform.

God put me here to accomplish a certain amount of things...right now I'm so far behind, I'll never die!!
I believe that they do have a bluegrass and/or fiddlin' festival in Darrington (northeast of Seattle, in the western Cascades) & there's an airport right there on the edge of town.

Spanish Springs N86:
Max and his son have always been most hospitable and I usually fuel there while at the Burning Man Black Rock Fly-In. Then a few weeks later land there while attending the Reno Air Races.
A little trivia: Max used to be based at my home airport.
