Lee's first flight

January 1st, 2016.

My two month old son, Lee, dressed himself in his flight suit and asks to go flying.

Thanks guys. That was a special flight and the best way to begin my thread.

Nice thing about the instrument flight test is that what you are asked to do is logical. I had a hard time teaching a lot of not energy wise private and commercial stuff.

Congratulations! You probably already know this, but file often, even on VFR days, to keep using your newly honed skills.

I'm an OSH first timer this year as well but am driving in. The plan is to fly my then completed Bearhawk in 2018.

Yeah, I'll file as often as possible and it's really not a big deal to do that. Thanks for the encouragement.

We'll be driving in as well, from Viroqua. Spending the week there with family and will get some flying in locally.

Re: Bushveld's adventures

We are flying to Houston to celebrate New Year's. Right now the stops look like KBGD and KSEP. Apparently there is a BBQ place next to SEP for a good lunch stop. Looking forward to closing out the 2016 logbook with an awesome trip. Pictures, pictures, pictures....must remember to take some.

Should put me around 90+ hours for the year. Yep, I completed the flight hours survey. It's been a great flying year.
